To our patients and dental colleagues,
We at Endodontic Specialists of Colorado take our responsibilities to our patients, referring dentists, staff, families and community very seriously amidst the challenges brought by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Statements issued by the Governor of Colorado and Colorado Dental Association indicate that dental professionals can once again schedule routine dental procedures effective April 27th, 2020. To be clear, we are now available to treat all endodontic (root canal) conditions during this time, both emergent and non-emergent; conditions such as tooth, oral and facial pain, dental trauma, tooth resorption, oral swellings, and fever caused by dental infection – can all be scheduled for treatment at our offices.
Your safety is our priority. We have instituted policies that go above and beyond the basic requirements of OSHA, infection control and sterilization. Our waiting areas have been rearranged to allow for social distancing, and contact points such as magazines and drinks have been removed. Virtual waiting rooms and online form access are available to reduce wait times, common surfaces (door handles, pens, electronics, etc.) are continuously disinfected, and hand sanitizer is offered to all. We pre-screen all patients via phone and again upon arrival to our office. In addition to installing physical barriers at our front desk, our entire team wears face coverings throughout the office, and all clinical providers wear enhanced personal protective equipment (PPE) during evaluation and treatment to maintain the highest level of safety during your visit.
Upon arrival, patients will be instructed to wear a mask (their own, or a mask provided by us) and hand sanitize. Every patient will be screened for a temperature and instructed to rinse with an antimicrobial mouthwash before consultation. We utilize single-tooth isolation during root canal treatment procedures for the highest level of safety and comfort. Patients may also prefer permanent tooth restorations following root canal treatment to decrease follow-up dental appointments for restoration during this period.
We will continue to comply with official recommendations from scientific experts (CDC, WHO, ADA) our government, Colorado Board of Dentistry, and the Colorado Dental Association which may impact our hours and policies. In the event of new developments, we will reach out to you and inform you of any changes and/or restrictions.
Thank you for entrusting us with your care.
